I've been a WorldPerks member since it...hmm...early 90s. And yep, I've earned a lot of mileage and still counting.
Citibank has its own tie up with NWA WorldPerks. And yes I do have this in my wallet...
But BPI is a friendlier creditor. At least, everyone in my family thinks so.
And when it comes to banking, we do have a family bank (just like we have our own alahera, mechanic, vet for the pets, buffet of doctors at the Asian, etc). I must've mentioned it several times in my old blogs. Most of the family wealth is with Chinabank. And to keep with the tradition, I started my savings and current accounts there. Lately, I told my gurl that maybe it's about time to have this...
This is because the only ATM card we have is this...
Speaking of BDO, when we went to the MOA, I signed up for this...
...only because my gurl wants us to. And because I love her, I said ok. Of course, she gets a supplement, as with my Citibank.
Now all this talk about credit made me hungry. So I went down, raided the kitchen and prepared to microwave last night's take out...
She had the pizza, while I ate the pasta.
The spag wasn't that yummy.
But I'll tell you what drives me crazy lately. It's this baby from Salazar.
I had to drive out of my way just to purchase my fave hopia at their outlet at the SM Southmall. If there's no Salazar hopia mongo, I'd settle for the Tipas, which you can buy at your sari-sari store. Pag wala pa rin, di bale na.
I don't like the hopia baboy. Just thinking about it makes me squint my eyes.
And there's something about Wendy's that I drop by for. Iced tea light! Sometimes I would go over to the Asian Hospital cafeteria, which is near my office, just to get my fix. Wendy's has a kiosk there.
O. Ginutom ko ba kayo?

My fave priest, Fr Martin of the Malate Church, sees my gurl hanging outside the Adoration Chapel. He suddenly pounces on her and starts to shake her shoulders when he drops one of his pale Irish arms on her.
While shaking her, he asks her repeatedly, "Sinong kasama mo ha? Sinong kasama mo?"
He startles her but as soon as she sees that it's him, she smiles and replies, "Asawa ko po."
He asks again, "Nasaan ang asawa mo?"
She points to the adoration chapel, "Nasa loob po. Nagdarasal."
He attempts to embarass her in a jovial spirit and tells her, "O bakit sya lang ang nagdarasal?"
She answers with a bigger smile, "Tapos na po ako."
They chat some more. And when he learns that I'm working in Alabang, he jests again, "Ah. Sa mayabang-alabang."
That's my fave Irish priest. He speaks better Tagalog than I do.

kids should know that...
Credit card issuers usually waive interest charges if the balance is paid in full each month, but typically will charge full interest on the entire outstanding balance from the date of each purchase if the total balance is not paid. For merchants, a credit card transaction is often more secure than other forms of payment, such as cheques, because the issuing bank commits to pay the merchant the moment the transaction is verified. The bank charges a commission (discount fee), to the merchant for this service and there may be a certain delay before the agreed payment is received by the merchant. In addition, a merchant may be penalized or have their ability to receive payment using that credit card restricted if there are too many cancellations or reversals of charges. (wikipedia)
